n the Mediterranean region (including North Africa) Trichoferus fasciculatus fasciculatus is a relatively common and a broadly polyphagous species. It develops in Ficus, Sorbus, Rhus, Nerium, Vitis, Paliurus, Spartium, Castanea, Ulmus, Morus, Punica, Rubus, Cytisus, Robinia, Ceratonia, Pistacia, Ziziphus, Coronilla, etc. Larvae feed especially in the wood of dead twigs 1 - 3 cm in diameter, but also in branches and trunks.

The adults of this very nice Trichoferus species were collected in Mersin, South-West Turkey. Here, it seems to be broadly polyphagous on deciduous trees. Larvae, pupae, and adults of Trichoferus kotschyi were collected in Quercus spp., Ceratonia siliqua, but also in dead herbaceous plants.
