Chlorophorus nivipictus is regularly collected in South Turkey and here it is quite common, although only locally. It develops in the dead branches of oaks (Quercus spp.). The bases of such branches remaining in contact with living tissue of the trees, are particularly chosen for oviposition.

Body length: 9 - 14 mm
Life cycle: 1 - 2 years
Adults in: May - June
Host plant: oak (Quercus)
Distribution: Turkey

The living beetle was reared from a dead oak branch collected in the environs of Erdemli (South-West Turkey), the mounted specimen was collected on a blossoming Christ's Thorn (Paliurus spina-christi) in the same locality.
